After reinstalling Windows XP there is no sound on pc. Track this discussion and email me when there are updates. This driver came directly from Realtek’s website, the link is below. Instructions how to install it in XP: In the device manager, there is yellow mark next to multimedia 74c2 controller. Could 7742c the wrong driver or it could be that a driver is needed before this one. I had tried the download link Daniel posted but it was no good so I had to find another source for the driver.
Maybe that wasn’t the correct audio driver then.
